FARMER TERMS OF TRADE (NTP) SUMATRA UTARA PROVINCE OF DECEMBER 2016 101.56

Farmer Terms of Trade (NTP), which is obtained from the comparison index of prices received by farmers to the index of prices paid by farmers (in percentage), is one of the indicators to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with the goods and services consumed or to the production costs. The higher the NTP, relatively, the stronger is the level of capability / farmers' purchasing power, and vice versa.
In December 2016, NTP Sumatra Utara Province (2012 = 100) stood at 101.56, an increase of 0.73 percent compared to November 2016 amounted to 100.83 NTP.
