Abstract

The number of domestic passengers coming to North Sumatra through Kualanamu International Airport in May 2024 reached 192,714 people, or down 14.61 percent compared to the previous month of 225,678 people.
The number of air transport passengers to foreign destinations, both using national and foreign flights, in May 2024 decreased by 4.37 percent compared to April 2024, namely from 100,796 people to 96,390 people.
The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transportation passengers departing from Belawan Harbor in May 2024 was recorded at 10,973 people, down 53.97 percent compared to the previous month of 23,838 people, while the number of passengers arriving in May 2024 was recorded at 8,064 people, or down 64.26 percent compared to the previous month of 22,564 people.
During May 2024, inter-island goods transportation for loading activities was 24,800 tonnes, or down 29.50 percent compared to April 2024 of 35,175 tonnes.
Goods unloading activities in May 2024 increased by 29.35 percent, from 405,223 tons in April 2024 to 524,148 tons in May 2024
