Abstract

The number of domestic passengers arriving in Sumatera Utara through Kualanamu International Airport in August 2024 reached 189,341 people, or down 11.53 percent compared to the previous month which was 214,016 people.
The number of air passengers to foreign destinations, both using national and foreign flights, in August 2024 increased by 2.28 percent compared to July 2024, namely from 88,189 people to 90,201 people.
The number of inter-island sea transportation passengers (domestic) departing from Belawan Port in August 2024 was recorded at 9,696 people, down 46.35 percent compared to the previous month which was 18,074 people, while the number of passengers arriving in August 2024 was recorded at 8,376 people, or down 45.54 percent compared to the previous month which was 15,379 people.
During August 2024, inter-island freight transportation for loading activities reached 51,957 tons, or an increase of 28.95 percent compared to July 2024 which amounted to 40,291 tons.
Unloading activities in August 2024 fell by 31.77 percent, from 617,974 tons in July 2024 to 421,661 tons in August 2024
