Abstract

  1. The economic growth of Pakpak Bharat Regency in 2013 is equal to 5.86 percent which slowed when compared to 2012. The rate of economic growth Pakpak Bharat is below the rate of economic growth in North Sumatra province, which reached 6.01 percent in 2013, which also slowed from 6.22 percent the previous year. The highest growth in Pakpak Bharat achieved by the services sector at 11.88 percent, followed by transport and communications sector to 7.69 percent, 6.92 percent in the construction sector, the financial sector, leasing and business services 6.77 percent, trade , hotels and restaurants 6.30 per cent, mining and quarrying 6,17persen. While the 3 (three) other economic sectors to grow below 6 percent.
  2. In 2013 Pakpak Bharat GDP at current prices reached Rp. 479,459.42 billion, grew by 14.02 percent from 2012's Rp. 420,521.07 billion. While GDP Pakpak Bharat on the basis of constant 2000 prices in 2013 amounted to Rp. 196,125.86 billion, growing by 5.86 percent from 2012's Rp. 185,261,27 billion.

In 2013, the agricultural sector still dominates the GDP structure Pakpak Bharat by 64.30 percent, followed by sector, trade, hotels and restaurants is 11.62 percent, the services sector at 9.76 percent, 9.73 percent in the construction sector, transport and communication 2.35 percent, the financial sector, leasing and business services 1.64 percent, electricity, gas and water supply 0.33 per cent, 0.20 per cent of the manufacturing sector, and the mining and quarrying sector, 0.05 percent.

The contribution of each sector of the economy in creating economic growth Pakpak Bharat in 2013 amounted to 5.86 percent, the agricultural sector contributed with 2.81 percent, followed by the services sector at 1.31 percent, 0.79 percent in the construction sector, trade, hotels and restaurants 0.72 per cent, transport and communications 0.10 percent, financial, leasing and business services 0.11 percent, while the sector of electricity, gas and water utilities, the manufacturing industry and mining and quarrying provide the smallest contribution is just under 0.10 percent.
  5. GDP per capita is the GDP (at current prices) divided by the total population at mid-year. In 2013 GDP per capita figures Pakpak Bharat reached Rp. 11 million with a rate of increase of 11.68 percent compared to GDP per capita in 2012.
